The A. C.
Bondurant International Study Grant 2005 Professor
Byron Bondurant established an endowment to provide our American
students an opportunity to gain some International experience.
Professor
Bondurant was on the OSU faculty from 1964 until 1985, and during
those years he spent substantial time teaching Agricultural
Engineering in developing countries including India, Kenya and
Somalia. He always felt, and still does, that we need to spend time
another country, learning the culture, visiting people and seeing
for ourselves how they live.
The
Bondurant International grant often is awarded to students who
participate in s study-abroad program, but other trips and study
opportunities have been approved. Destination countries have
included Australia, Uganda, China, and the Dominican Republic.
Our goal
for the study-abroad award is to cover the student's expenses above
what it would cost to finish a quarter on campus.
The
recipients of the A. C. Bondurant International Study Grants for 2005 are:
Janell Henry - Ms. Henry will study at the Tecnologico de Monterey,
