The
Wetland is completed April 18, 2002
On April 18th, the wetland was completed and 5 channel catfish were added to the aerobic tanks. While most wetland restoration and construction takes months, the students completed construction of their wetland in one hour. Because of this it was named the "1-hour wetland".
Clay and organic soils collected from local wetlands were added.
Vegetation and a dead were added.

While some feared the catfish would quickly die (including the professor), they seemed to like the system and often swam between the two aerobic tanks.
