The ACSM
Club is an organization that is designed to develop and promote leadership,
personal development and social skills. These
are all very important on-going aspects of career fulfillment, and growth as a
student. The ACSM Club strives to
instill industry-oriented programs along with social and recreational activities
with other students at the local and national levels.
The ACSM Club also offers many opportunities to participate in
professional activities.

ACSM Club Mission Statement
To better prepare members for their careers through teamwork,
social, and professional interaction and leadership opportunities. By
sharing information, coordination of group projects and activities, educational
programs, and interaction with faculty, staff, and students, we provide an added
dimension to members’ academia cannot offer.

activities of the club include:

Attend National Farm Machinery Show in Louisville, Kentucky
ACSM & ASAE Banquet
Attend Indianapolis 500 time trials

Quarterly dinner outing as a club

All of
these club activities are meant to be educational as well as fun. Each of
the activities are group oriented, and take place outside of the classroom.
They allow the club members to interact with other students, faculty and people
from both agriculture and construction industries. Plus, there are enough
activities offered throughout the year to keep all of the members involved and
interested.
The ACSM Club provides its members with a variety of
opportunities to grow personally and professionally. An ACSM Club member
has the chance to hold any of the officer positions along with committee chair
positions. These positions allow members to take on important leadership
roles that develop skills that may add to employment opportunities.
ACSM Club members also have the chance to hear speakers
that have a variety of backgrounds. Some of the past speakers include
representatives from dealerships, seed companies, construction firms, faculty,
and student interns to share their experiences.
Members
have a chance to network with these speakers after they make initial contact.
Club Profile
The Agricultural & Construction Systems Management Club is not only for students majoring is Agricultural Systems Management and Construction Systems Management, it is also accepts students from any major or those who have an interest in agriculture or construction.

The club advisor is Dennis Albery, one of the program’s
faculty. There is no official membership roster, but an average attendance is
20-25 people. There is an officer team consisting of a President, Vice
President, Treasurer, Secretary, Reporter, and an Ag. Council Representative.
Meeting times are posted throughout the agricultural campus.
