    Zhao named as 2023 CFAES Distinguished Professor

    The Ohio State University College of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences (CFAES) has named Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering (FABE) faculty member Lingying Zhao a Distinguished Professor of Food, Agricultural, and Environmental Sciences.

    The honorific title, selected annually on a competitive basis among faculty members at the rank of full professor, recognizes excellent work and significant impact in fulfilling CFAES’ missions—teaching, research, outreach, and engagement.

    Last week, The Ohio State University Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering Professor Dr. Judit Puskas received an honorary doctorate degree from West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin, Poland.

  5. Cornish receives 2024 Charles Goodyear Medal

    The Ohio State University Professor and Ohio Research Scholar of Bioemergent Materials Katrina Cornish received the 2024 Charles Goodyear Medal on Thursday afternoon. Cornish holds a split appointment between the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering (FABE) and the Department of Horticulture and Crop Science (HCS).

    During the Spring of 2023, Joey Smith traveled to China to serve as a senior visiting scholar in the School of Water Resources & Hydropower Engineering at Wuhan University. Joey graduated from The Ohio State University Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering (FABE) BS/MS program, is currently a GTA for FABE land surveying classes, and is an Environmental Science Graduate Program (ESGP) PhD candidate.

  10. Partners gather for Trimble Technologies Lab ribbon cutting

    This morning marked the ribbon cutting for the Trimble Technologies Lab to be housed in the Agricultural Engineering Building of the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering at The Ohio State University.
