Historical development of the research process. Problem selection and proposal development. Processes for acquiring funding and conducting quality research. Peer review of proposals and papers. Graduate students taking this course should, at minimum, have decided on a thesis or dissertation topic, and have initiated discussion with their advisors regarding their work. Prereq: Grad standing.
