FABE Alumni Engineers Week Spotlight: Cassidy Brozovich

Feb. 25, 2026
Cassidy Brozovich - FABE

We are beginning our Engineering Week spotlight with our own Cassidy Brozovich! She graduated from FABE with a specialization in Ecological Engineering in 2023. She is currently a graduate student here at Ohio State University pursing a Master's in FABE and a PhD in Mechanical Engineering. Get to know Cassidy's role at Ohio State below!

What does a typical day look like at your current role?

"My day is currently split into three parts: reading, writing and lab work. With reading it is typically to get up to speed on a topic, learn what other's are researching in my field, and finding research gaps. This leads directly into the writing process for my thesis/dissertation or for proposal development. Lastly, the most fun work is the lab work. I am split between computer-based modeling and experimental work in the lab."

What was your biggest educational takeaway from your time in FABE?

"A FABE degree prepares you to have a multi-disciplined perspective on problems and inertly think outside the box. I have often found myself referencing old coursework and textbooks for the work I'm doing."

Best part of being an engineer or thing you love most about engineering?

"My favorite part of being an engineer is having the ability to solve problems! The problems do not even necessary have to be traditionally in the engineering realm, an engineering degree allows you to analyze everything in life."

Fondest memory of your time at OSU FABE?

"My fondest memory as a FABE student would be the late-night pizza parties in the computer lab. I was part of an amazing cohort and have stayed in touch with many people, still getting together for dinners even now!"
