Shah Receives Lumley Research Award from College of Engineering

Dr. Ajay Shah, Assistant Professor in the Department of Food, Agricultural and Biological Engineering was recognized at the recent 2018 College of Engineering Distinguished Faculty Awards with a Lumley Research Award. The Lumley Engineering Research Awards are presented to outstanding researchers from the College of Engineering who have demonstrated exceptional activity and success in their research pursuits. 

“The award means a lot to me as it recognizes my research efforts and accomplishments made over the past 4 years at The Ohio State University,” said Shah. “I have been fortunate to collaborate with faculty from many disciplines and industry stakeholders, which has helped strengthen my program.”

Shah serves as the Principal Investigator in the Biobased Systems Analysis Lab (BSAL), which focuses on improving the efficiency, economics, and emissions of biobased food, products, and energy. The research of Shah and his team has focused on biofeedstock production, harvest and post-harvest logistics/engineering; bioenergy/products conversion and utilization; and crop production and grain storage.
