    Congratulations to Dr. Norman R. Fausey for being named a Fellow of ASABE at the Annual International Meeting in Kansas City.  Dr. Fausey leads the ARS Soil Drainage Research Unit on the OSU, Columbus campus.

  2. Aquaponics project combines learning, innovation, and community service in Honduras

    Aquaponics is a technique for sustainable food production that utilizes the combination of aquaculture with hydroponics to grow fish and vegetables without soil. It offers an affordable and sustainable system that families and communities can use to supplement their diets with fresh, inexpensive fish and vegetables. Andrew Stratton, an undergraduate student in our department spent the 2012-2013 school year building a prototype aquaponics system and planning its implementation in Honduras.

  10. FABE Wooster is Moving Forward

    On September 16, 2010 a tornado struck the OARDC/OSU Wooster Campus. Severe damage to the Agricultural Engineering building resulted in the relocation of office operations to the (old) Administration building, where they were given space on the first and second floors. Additionally, three different spaces were rented within a two-mile radius of the campus for research activities: (1) shop fabrication area for OSU and ARS; (2) OSU fiber project and ARS sprayer research/wind tunnel; and (3) natural rubber pilot plant and testing.
