He was born in Saigon, Vietnam to a French mother and American father who was working there in 1963. From there the family moved to India, Turkey, Switzerland, and then to Washington, D.C. in 10th grade. He and Beth met in Berlin, Germany in 1989, where they lived for five years (and witnessed the fall of the Berlin Wall) before coming back to the U.S. to marry and begin a family. His passions are the Wooster Bike Crew (a Boys Scouts of America Venturing Crew that delivers yard and home services on bikes, sponsored by the UU), yoga, and his family farmhouse in France.
